Fresh protein packaging is one of the most technically demanding applications in food packaging. Products must support MAP gas flushing, withstand heat-seal bonding without distortion, maintain dimensional consistency across high-speed filling lines, and provide sufficient barrier properties to protect the integrity of the product throughout the cold chain.
Our thermoformed protein and meat trays are produced from food-grade rPET incorporating a minimum of 30% post-consumer recycled content — a specification increasingly required by South African retail buyers and FMCG procurement teams managing scope 3 sustainability commitments. Tray dimensions are produced to standard retail formats used across the South African fresh protein category.
Meat trays for fresh red meat and poultry are produced in standard South African retail configurations. Our FSSC 22000 certification covers all materials, processes, and handling procedures used in protein packaging production, providing the food safety management documentation required by processors operating under FSSC, BRC, or retailer-specific quality management systems.
